Express Raja, Super Hit - Thanks everybody

I have been here in Hyderabad since 2011. Telugu Film industry has given everything that what i have today, and made me into a person as what i am today, thanks for that. Today i am very proud to say that, i come from the school of Director Krishna Vamsi garu. I worked with Director Krishna Vamsi garu for almost a year on Mogudu, that was a great learning experience from the master himself. I am thankful to him for giving me a identity and a passport to enter into this industry. It is that knowledge which has brought me here today. I owe him a lot.
All the credit of success goes to Mr. John. E sir, my teacher, who has always been standing beside me, and been showing me the right path, without whom i would have never met Director Krishna Vamsi garu. Thank you sir.
Gandhi is more of a brother than a friend to me. I remember the days when we use to live in a 10 X 10 room for almost a year at Venkatagiri, when we were writing Venkatadri Express. That turned things up side down. Nothing speaks like success, Gandhi brought that very 'success' in to my carrier. Thanks so much brother.
We have come a long way since then. The journey after Venkatadri Express was as fun and  racy as Express Raja. Those two years of working on Express Raja was one of the best experiences i ever had writing a film. I am very thankful to Gandhi for giving a second hit in row, and adding one more success into my story. Thanks machi..
Thanks to everybody for recognising and liking our films. Love you all. Thanks to the Cast and Crew of Express Raja, who really made it happen.
I hope and wish to get  the same love and support from audience for all my future projects. I have three more releases this year as of now Thikka ( starring Sai Dharam Tej garu,  Story and Screenplay, in Telugu), a Hindi film (untitled) and a Marathi film (untitled).
All this would have not been possible without the support of the audience, thanks so much. Love you all.
Thanks to my friends, family and well wishers, for all the love that they have been showering on me all these days. Love you all. Thank you...............

I still believe he could'n board the train

It all happened in three to four minutes, but gave me a life time experience. It was in the Chennai Central station. I was in the Charminar express, I was checking my mails on my laptop with the MTS data card connection inside the train. A man in his mid-40’s well dressed, obese and Tamil looking crossed me. He came back and said “excuse me in Telugu” (I found the meaning to the sentence later), since I din understand, I said “I din understand” (in Tamil). He said “can you do me a favour” (in Tamil with tears). I was taken aback and asked with concern “yes, tell me what’s it”(Tamil). He said “I lost my purse while I was coming from Coimbatore to Chennai on the inter city express, I need to reach Nellur, its 140 rupees for a ticket, so can you borrow me 140, I have asked my manager to come to the station, he will bring the money, as soon as the station comes I will get you the money” (Tamil). I was confused, doubtful and feeling pity. He din give me time. It was very quick and fast, seeing my doubtful face he moved forward and approached the next guy saying “ I feel ashamed to do this, but I don even mind to give you my watch till you get back your money”. I was in a pretty good mood that day, and on the top of it my philosophy that “ what if this guy is not lying, I would miss a chance to help someone in need”. I took out the my wallet, I could find two 100 rupee notes. I gave them, with a pride. He took the money and said “I just need 140, I will take the ticket and return back the 60 in ten minutes, please wait” (Tamil, with a happy and shame full face). I said, “ its ok give me 200 when you reach ur place”( Tamil, with a generous attitude). Its been two days ever since this incident happened. He never came back to return back the money. I was so fucking stupid, but still, I still wanted to believe that he was telling the truth and he got caught in the crowd while he was buying the ticket and could’nt board the train.
But if he has lied, I still liked the way he asked, and his effort to dress so well suiting the situation, and his acting. It was quick, fact and good dialogue delivery. I loved his acting.

As audience, is there anything wrong with us ?

When i wrote my earlier article, on my frustration about Tamil Cinema in the past three months, some of my film maker friends were furious saying, that it's noting wrong with the directors but with audience.

But as i see it, i don find anything wrong with the audience. Because of one single bloody reason.

Reason:

I remember, till 5 years back i could see that there would be few good films which would not run properly in theater. They wouldn't run because, they din have proper publicity or they din release at the right time or its some sort of a arti parallel cinema. But for the past five years, if you look back i couldn't think of a single good film which din run properly in theater. Patience level of audience has actually improved, they have forgiven so my bad films and made them run. One very important thing to notice is that, all the films that did well in the past few years are low budget films with content which is very different, just to remind you 'Subramaniyapuram' to 'Angadi Theru'.

I still believe that if people come out with films which have stories that are not just different, but also some really interesting 'unnoticed' stuff in the society, that would be enough to come up with a entertaining film.

Audience taste changes with time its quite natural, otherwise we will all be stuck in the times when film was invented, we have moved so far because taste has changed, it for good. Its a process of evolution, rather than development. We have to accept it, its natural. The solution is simple, make people's film. Make films about people not about heroes, a very good example is 'Boss yengara Bhaskaran'. Though it was treated as a comedy film, if you look deep into the roots, its all about us, what we aspire to do, what we are and what we can never be.

We have crossed the classical road skipping the modern cinema into a post modern world, i fell proud of our audience for being patient to watch some of the ridiculous content. Thanks to them, otherwise the industry would have closed by now.

Baana kathadi, review

One of the worst films of the year. Total blunder in terms of screenplay, direction and casting. Only two guys can be appreciated when it comes to this film one is the producer and other is the cameraman, because even for such a mediocre film the producer spent a lot of money to promote and for such a scrip and direction the cameraman gave his best.
There is not much to review about the film. The first time actor Adharva has tried his best, which is the worst of acting even according to the South African low budget film.

KANDASAMI, A SUPER ZERO

Kalaipuli S Dhanu is the most generous and the niceist producer in the world, because he has beard Kandasami.
Kandasami = mixture of Ramana + all Shankar's films like gentleman and Anniyan sort.
It's a super spoof of super heroes. Please watch the film, if you like spoof films or if you want to know how money can be wasted or if you want to know how Vadivelu can be wasted or IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW KANDASAMI CAN BE WASTED.

Dhanam, a review

It's become a fashion to cast Sangeetha in a contreversial role ,that's the only advantage the movie has, apart from the story line.
The production value of the film looks as if the director had a attitue that "who ever takes up any role(other than sangeetha in the female lead),what ever we do, what ever bad art direction we have in the film, even if the dialouges are plasic, even if the comedy track is irritating...still the movie will run ,because we have a contreversial role for sngeetha, thats the USP of the film"

Two things other than the story line of the film which were good are,Girishkarnad's and Sangeetha's costume.
This film is a good example on how badly a movie can be made with a good story as a back bone.

Jayamkondan , a review

Umm this one film which i would like to call a proper "commercial format".
This is the kind of film which always gets a review from mags saying that "you can watch with ur family" types.
Hats off to the director.Cool, simple, very tangable and commercial plot.
The Madurai accent has worked very well with everyone, even with the female lead.
Kishore bhai is owsome , he has proved it again, the elegance and simplicity of the villan is real cool.
Real good and simple subplots.
Though the story comes closer to Agni Nakshatram , even some situations (like when the hero gets angry with her step sister and goes to meet her mother ,and finds her dead) .Still the old wine has worked very well...
good film , very entertaining and worth watching
