Billa vs Police

Recently i saw couple of films like kalluri, yevano orvan, billa (tamil) and also saw Police( a malayalam film ,dvd).

It was quite sad when i saw billa. The main reason was that so much of effort, time and money spent on such a good project ,but the film din serve the expectations.

Police and Billa is similar in one way.In both the films they have tried out s style ,especially the colour tone of the film and costumes. Each scene in both the films have good platform for action but nothing happens in the scene so u get fed up after some time , that in billa since our super star Rajini had done the role earlier ,you expect a lot.

Billa had a style from Don, sharuk's(but its unfair to compare such a sylish film like don) and story taken from old tamil billa.Nothing was new in it and nothing which had been takes from the above two films were good also.

After some time ur expection turns into frustration in both the films billa-police.

both films were good portfolio for the camer men ...cool cinematography...... good costumes...sexy post work like colour grading and especially the compositing done while ajith stands on the top of the building while there is lightning ..cool work

mallu names

I had been having a lot mallu freinds ever since i enetered college. Since then i have been hearing names like Sidin,Jibby,Prem Lal,Praful,Sujith and the list goes on and comes Jiju ,Cijo and goes on and on again.
One fine day after a long time, i was thinking on how they name some one in mallu land and found out some interesting facts. Most of the recent name after 1970's has been stuck to a format , may be the names i have heared.
Lets take the name Jiju, it has a format .
1.Two sylabal word
2.it has got no meaning
3.No one can interpret what it means
4.no one can identify the religion he/she comes from
5.no one can identify were he comes from.

And thats how a name has to be , it should be unique and should reperesnt only that entity. So the format they use is pritty cool.
Its like no hype only the product delivery decides the character of the named product and the name is stuck to it.
Something like some ones name is Osama , sure every one has a mental inclination of teasing person. For that matter even a name like Dawood.
Basically if it symbolises something then its sure going to effect.

There are other advantages attached to this format.

Jiju is jiju ...
his first brothers name biju ,
second brothers name is ciju,
if its a girl child then its riju

like that , change the first sylabal and name a whole generation.
Now how to name the next generation , its simple just change the last sylabal
jijo
jiji for girl
jiba
jizu
like that so considering the permutation and comination of these sylabals u can come out with 234567 names , so its like naming a whole lot of 9 villages in vainadu district.

This way just by having two sylabals and playing around with them , you can actually name the whole country if u have 43 sylabals ....( just calculate it permuatting and combinating and calculating it with the population of our country divided by the sylabals used ).

Now to all my mallu freinds , please don use any abusive languge while commenting on it , it was not meant to hurt u guys but to reveal the hidden truth of the name method of the mallu land so that the future gen fromother place can too learn it

How to make film on a low budget

Last weeek i met one of my freind who wants to a short film about a donkey.I have no idea why he was so specific on making a film about a donkey, and me too never asked anything about it because when it comes to creativity ,no questions are to be answered, and no questions are to be questioned on any questions....who know why spelberg wanted to make film on dinosour, like that he would have tought of making a film about a donkey.
We sat for some discussion , all i could think of a story was about how a donkey saved the world from aliens. But he wanted a low budget film.So i thought of a story about how a donkey comes from a small town or a village and finds it difficult to lead his life with a urban donkey family .. were he meets a donkey from a zoo and falls in love with that donkey and takes the donkey from the zoo and runs to village to live a happy life.My freind wanted to make a very arti off beat film with a very unusual story line , mostly with out any story. The we sat and discussed and went to kodaikanal for a trip to relax , came back and thought of a very artistic story line.
You must be expecting thestory line .. im really really sorry i can not reveal the story line. what if some one steals the story so we are not disclosing till he finishes the project and gives out in some film festival.
The budget of the film is about 3 lakhs, including 4 donkeyes
The shoot to release time period is about 3 months .
The profit one could fetch out of this film is minimum of 3 donkeyes.

so if some one is interested please let us know ... we would be happy to put you on to the right donkey project.

G.Sheik Dawood Syed Ali Khan to Dawood Sait

Long back when i was born my parents named me G.Sheik Dawod Syed Ali Khan (g , the initial we from tamilnadu have their fathers name as initial, like how they have sir names in north family names in mallus attached to their names ).My name was composed very carefully taking into lot of considerations like my mothers family din want to miss out their family name and my dad's famliy din want to miss theri family name.So when some one spells out my name fully it represents the whole history of family till the last century. But i don know when i was admitted in K.G classes my class teacher found out that such a long name is not cool so she cut short to just G.Sheik Dawood.
When i was class one my new class teacher Miss.Bella thought that even this big name is not that cool so she cut short and cut out some letters and made it to David in the class register.Parallely i have no idea how such a long name of mine got cut to Sait at home.
I was called David at school and Sait at home.Slowly every one forgot my real name , me too and was given a new name(s).As time passed and issues arised my parents had a fight with the school for changing my name , again it was G.Sheik Dawood in school register.
Now by 4th std my official name was G.Sheik Dawood and unofficial name was Sait. But i always liked the later on Sait,it was cool ,small and simple.More over no one can find out wich religion i belong to , the marwadis in my class thought im some hybrid from south and people from here thought i was a hybrid from north.Actually i lot my identity as such from were i belong to, that was real cool.
But all the well it was cool till Mr.Dawood Ibrahim came into picture , i don exactly wneh this happened suddely lot of people started calling me Dawood, they found it real cool to call me Dawood, but i had to face lot of problems like , when every one geting their passport clearence in one month it took me 6 months to get my passport cleared. Some people asked me wheather im a relative of mr.dawood bhai. Some people even started calling me dawood bhai.
But i never found it cool to be called Dawood Bhai, there was big big fear attached to me with the name.Recently i came across one of my school freind who told me that he never knew that my name is g.sheik dawood, he thought my real name is Sait , then i came across my college freind who told the truth that he never knew that my name was g.sheik dawood ,he alwas thought my name is just dawood.
So the conclusion people thought its cool to calle dawood and i think its cool to be called sait, in the course of time G and Sheik has be deleted from my name like how Syed Ali Khan was , so i fused both popular names and made Dawood Sait.Thats my current name.Lets hope atleast this stays. Its a cool name na.
