cats in my apartment

Few months back a pregnant cat was roaming in our apartment, all the kids our apartment were excited, they use to give her milk and food. She stayed back permanently, she gave birth to four kittens, they were cute, kids started serving them milk too, i did twice (though i was not much of a cat guy), they were so cute, you cannot escape from their cuteness. In three days we found out that a dog took away all the three kids one night and the mother became very aggressive.

Everyone in the apartment was sad, including me. A month back the same cat gave birth to another 4 kids, we dropped them in the first floor in a safe place and they grew up very fast in a month's time. Now they have grown so big.

Another cat took refuge in our apartment now and gave birth to another four kids, our apartment is filled with cats, when i see them sleeping peacefully on my Dio seat in the morning, i forget every thing else, kids are kids, whether its a kitten or humans, they make you forget everything.

Flipkart, hats off, you guys kept your word

In the recent times www.flipkart.com has been doing great. I have never bought anything from the site, so i don have any idea about their service. But i was stunned to see HTC's HD7,Windows 7 phone available on their site, they kept the word, i went to their site last month and they had put that they will start delivering the phone from 15th Dec, and they really did it.What is so great about this ? HD7 is currently not available with any dealers in India, its available only in the black market and the price is some where around Rs.35000, but on flipkart its Rs.29999. I have no idea how they did this, by convincing HTC to launch their HD7 model on their site, hats off, real strategy.
And this is not the first time they did this, when Samsung Galaxy Tab was released, they are the only guys who had a discount on it.

The Touch pad tablet war begins

Why is touch screen so exciting to use, because its the only technology which literally allows you to touch the technology. We thought we touched it, but now I am sure, its going to stick to us for rest of our lives. HTC was the first company to introduce touch screen technology to consumer level products at a lower price. First it was phones now its the next level, tablets.

Every company has come out a multi touch tablet, especially when a OS is free, Android.

HTC Desire HD VS Galaxy S

HTC has been stunning the market for the past few months, first with the HTC TOUCH HD2 now, both with 1 GHz processor, the earlier one with Windows, the other one with android. With the rumour that HTC has come off and away from Android OS, since there was news earlier about the HD7 with Windows 7, sudden launch of Desire has stunned every one and has given a big blow to Samsung Galaxy S, which has been delaying the android 2.2 Froyo update, because the cool desire has been launched with 2.2 Froyo. The best thing about HTC Desire HD is it's capacity to boot back in less than 5 sec. In the coming weeks lets hope we get more news from HTC on HD7 for which i have been waiting.

Android and India

Android has been the talk of the town. But as far as India is concerned i don se much of development, i was wondering why. They reason in Chinese phones and Nokia, the basic Indian market is right now relying on the cheap Chinese phones and Nokia. We are used to the inter-phase of Nokia or the cheap price of Chinese phone. Once the Chinese phones start using the Android OS and Nokia comes with its first android phone then you will see the market for android. Since android is free like Linux the Chinese phone makers are going to exploit ( they are already) the OS like hell, you will find the cheap 2000 rupees phone with touch screen with android in a years time in India.
Already the top phones makers like Sony Ericsson, HTC and Samsung has started using android, once the Adam Pad, the much talked about 3000 rupees Ipad is released, every Indian will have one. Comparing the population and usage it also holds a big market.
What if schools start giving one Adams Pad to each students and make it compulsory. Then Ipad will loose its foot in Indian market, even in black with cheap price. Before that if these guys realise it and reduce the price then they are saved.

Film Trailer, why ? and what ?

And

Trailer, why is it made.

Trailers are made not just to inform people about the film, but also to prepare the audience for a experience. It is also a tool which will help the audience to identify their choice to select the kind of film which they want to see, and should also create a curiosity with in the range of its subject, beyond the expected. This is how it can help in marketing the film.
But nowadays film trailers are made with a bunch of 'so called' best shots, the director or the trailer editor think is the best. Some time it is made with such stupidity that its makes you fell Yuk and bluck and creates a aversion from the film. Hollywood has devised a method to produce trailers but still we are learning how to cut film after a century of experience, amazing.

Quarter cutting and Aaranya Kaandam are the two best trailers, I have seen in this year. Hats off to people who are behind this.

There is no point in making a film, spending 50 or 60 Cr, how it is marketed to identify the audience is something which we have to learn from the west.

Baana kathadi, review

One of the worst films of the year. Total blunder in terms of screenplay, direction and casting. Only two guys can be appreciated when it comes to this film one is the producer and other is the cameraman, because even for such a mediocre film the producer spent a lot of money to promote and for such a scrip and direction the cameraman gave his best.
There is not much to review about the film. The first time actor Adharva has tried his best, which is the worst of acting even according to the South African low budget film.

UNICODE

Unicode, what is it ?

Unicode is increasing being accepted as a standard for Information Interchange worldwide as most of the major IT Companies have declared their support for it. Unicode for Indian Languages use ISCII-88 and not ISCII-91 which is the latest official standard. It was felt necessary that Indian Government should represent UNICODE Consortium for necessary modification in the code pertaining to Indian languages script and hence Department of Information Technology became full member of Unicode Consortium with voting right.

Fundamentally, computers just deal with numbers. They store letters and other characters by assigning a number for each one. Before Unicode was invented, there were hundreds of different encoding systems for assigning these numbers. No single encoding could contain enough characters: for example, the European Union alone requires several different encodings to cover all its languages. Even for a single language like English no single encoding was adequate for all the letters, punctuation, and technical symbols in common use.

These encoding systems also conflict with one another. That is, two encodings can use the same number for two different characters, or use different numbers for the same character. Any given computer (especially servers) needs to support many different encodings; yet whenever data is passed between different encodings or platforms, that data always runs the risk of corruption.

Unicode provides a unique number for every character, no matter what the platform, no matter what the program, no matter what the language. The Unicode Standard has been adopted by such industry leaders as Apple, HP, IBM, JustSystems, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, Sun, Sybase, Unisys and many others. Unicode is required by modern standards such as XML, Java, ECMAScript (JavaScript), LDAP, CORBA 3.0, WML, etc., and is the official way to implement ISO/IEC 10646. It is supported in many operating systems, all modern browsers, and many other products. The emergence of the Unicode Standard, and the availability of tools supporting it, are among the most significant recent global software technology trends.

Incorporating Unicode into client-server or multi-tiered applications and websites offers significant cost savings over the use of legacy character sets. Unicode enables a single software product or a single website to be targeted across multiple platforms, languages and countries without re-engineering. It allows data to be transported through many different systems without corruption

16 Bit (2 Byte) UNICODE
Unicode standard is the Universal character encoding standard, used for representation of text for Computer Processing. Unicode standard provides the capacity to encode all of the characters used for the written languages of the world. The Unicode standards provide information about the character and their use. Unicode Standards are very useful for Computer users who deal with multilingual text, Business people, Linguists, Researchers, Scientists, Mathematicians and Technicians. Unicode uses a 16 bit encoding that provides code point for more than 65000 characters (65536). Unicode Standards assigns each character a unique numeric value and name. The Unicode standard and ISO10646 Standard provide an extension mechanism called UTF-16 that allows for encoding as many as a million. Presently Unicode Standard provide codes for 49194 characters.

Unicode, policy for encoding character

Unicode consortium has laid down certain policy regarding character encoding stability by which no character deletion or change in character name is possible only annotation update is possible
1. Once a character is encoded, it will not be moved or removed.
2. Once a character is encoded, its character name will not be changed.
3. Once a character is encoded, its canonical combining class and decomposition (either canonical or compatibility) will not be changed in a way that would affect normalization.
4. Once a character is encoded, its properties may still be changed, but not in such a way as to change the fundamental identity of the character.
5. The structure of certain property values in the Unicode character database will not be changed.

Mobiles I used

The first mobile i remember using was a Nokia, i don remember the model. It was in 2001 when i joined my first job in Nasik. I was gifted by my brother-inlaw. It was a very simple mobile, other than calling and messaging there where only two tools on the mobile, Snake and calculator. But i never used it to call or message people. I would see the number when some one calls me and then call from land line, the out going and the incoming was priced very high, some were around Rs.8/min.
Just before the mobile got popular appeared this little device called pager, it was a fancy stuff of Motorola, but not used much.
When i had my first mobile, i never took it to office because i thought if some one sees me with the mobile, their ego will get hurt, because apart from me there was only one guy using a mobile phone in my office, that was my GM, i was just a trainee in those times.
The mobile was so big and heavy that you can really feel that you are having one, not like one of those thin ones nowadays. I actually liked having it, because i had to carry in my hand, because of it size and this way i can flaunt that i possess the mobile.
The next one was a Ericsson one (not sony ericsson), again gifted by my brother-inlaw, it was smaller than the Nokia but it still weighed the same. But it had few tolls added to it like WAP, but WAP never worked in our network. It use to hang a lot and that was terrible.
Then i bought the latest 3310, the most popular model of all times. Its still my favourite model. Its simple, small and sturdy. By this time incoming was not charged.
Then i bought a flip model Nokia which had WAP but it was costly, i still used WAP for the heck of using. Then a Motorola which had better sound and it was the slimmest mobile of those days. Then came the Vodafone mobile and then Nokia again, then it was Samsung and the Nokia, then the worst happened, LG now iam back with Samsung Metro 3310 :) which is a simple sturdy mobile with simple tools to make a call and message people. Iam happy with this one. I hope i don change mobiles any more, and i don want to

use LG Cookie pep and save phone bill

I am still not able to believe that I bought a LG mobile. I have no idea how i bought it, zaaaaaaaaaaaaaap next minute LG Cookie Pep was in my hand. I was praying god that nothing should go wrong with it, God heard my prayers, in 20 days the lower right side of the touch screen display was not sensing. That's the area where the Dial icon is there, so i could'n dial any number. The shift key PQRS and the GHI region was not sensing. If i touch those region then it clicks the region next to it so the word Passport would be spelled as 'Latt' and it would suggest 'latter' as the word. I had extreme difficulty in typing and calling so i stopped calling or messaging people, my phone bill came down to 22 rupees that month :) good thing right :)

how to crack any password

The procedure i'am giving will apply on certain conditions. Iam not going to give the most difficult way like using the Java code or HTML it's the most simplest and the fastest way.
1.You invite the guy to your office or home ( if you have a desktop) whose password has to be cracked to your place or take him to a cafe, if you are using a laptop.
2.You login to, lets say gmail is what you want to crack, then gmail.
3.You check your mails and send a mail to his id, the mail would be the most important thing, mail this content which i have posted down.mail a pic of Bipash basu along with that (or some other hot celeb).
4.Now close the account immediately and tell him to check his mail, tell him that you have sent a hot gal's pic.
5.Now when he types the password act as if you are turning back and move your eye balls 49.76 degrees and see what he is typing, you will exactly know what his password is.

Of course moving your eye balls 49.76 degree needs some practise, otherwise it's the easiest way to crack the pass word
