TRUST

Trust.
Inspite of all the terrorist acts all over the world people still walk on the streets, travel in trains, take their famalies for a movie,go on a holiday to Hawai.
Inspite of all the failures some one starts a new business.
Inspite of all the pain out of the earlier fake relationships people still fall in love.
Inspite of all the scolding a kid gets from him parents, kids still love their parents.
Inspite of all the air crashes there is growth in the air travel industry.
Inspite of all the above there are millions of people who still believe and look up to GOD.
Trust.

Aaranya Kaandam

When i was just about to close down my this year articles i came across the pooja for the film Aaranya Kaandam, directed by Mr.Kumar Raja, the dialouge writer for the much acclaimed cult film Oram Po.I could'nt resist writing about it.It seems that the whole industry is buzzed with the screenplay of this film, i never believed untill i saw the poster design of the film.Just the poster design convinced me that, this is going to be one of the best films in 2009.
It has all deadly actors from Jackie Sheroof to Sampath. The shooting has started and the first schdule is going on.All the very best of luck.Im waiting to watch a deadly film this year, Aaranya Kaandam.

This is the last article of this year, cash flow

I have decided to write my last article for this year which is, as follows.

As usual i din want to write things about what happened last year and how well life got raped or how well every one had fun.Im just lookig ahead for a cool ney year.
I have no idea why i have this feeling that the whole economic recession is just a cover up for something and i am very confident that everything wil be fine by jan and feb all over the world, though people talk about how sub prime fucked US economy and how this will efect india and the rest of the world, i have a strong irrational feeling that its going to be fine. Its not a self help stuff or anything to boost up my confidence level but its a very natural feeling im geeting.I really don know how this will happen.
My kind request to all those who have excessive money is that "SPEND A LOT"
Build a new house, buy a car, go on a vacation, get married lavishly, start totally new business which can serve the current market do things which you always wanted to do and which you miss in life.Buy a gift for your wife, shildren, friend or foe.Basically spend money. If you have a cultivable land use it for cultivation.Don get depressed, be happy and spend ,thats the only way we can bring in confidence in the market.Pay in the bank loans, pay back your vendors, pay back the money you have borrowed.
I know that many of you must be thinking that im talking shit, but i really don care, im just requesting you guys. Each above action can contibute to free flow of money into our economy.Let not hope but lets see the improvement.

This year, this month, this week and this day

This year :
Since this year is going to come to an end, i was just looking back on what has happened in my life. This year has been the most shittiest year i enjoyed.More than i have learned i should say 'experienced'.Depression, deviation, desperation, demonstaration and fun (i din get any word starting from d for fun).I really don want to talk about all that.
This month :
I felt really really bad when the media, politicians, film industry and people are so biased regionally, religiously and economically.
After the Mumbai strocity every one earned bread, name, political milage watnot using it.Some of them are
1.Media had made it like a skin show and especially headlines today where the programs based on it were filled with masala and give.
2.No news channels except DD was showing a responsible news, every one wants to have their bite and share on it to show something or the other. What if some guys from the terriorist gang has been watching and giving infromation to those guys who are inside on what plans are really going on.Before the NSG or anyother team makes the plan and execute , it was flshed as soon as possible on all channels.MisInterpriting peoples grief into masla stuff. The race to give a fancy name for the whole incident like 'Mumbai 26/11' by one channel '9O11 of India' by some other channel. When the security team is doing something ,news channels going inbetween and disturbing them.
3.Politicians as usual had a share of their piece in the whole thing. It was sad.Just after i wrote my aritice saying that 'i was proud of my politicians this time' some politician made some dirty comments and spoiled the respect.
4.I felt very bad when no parties in the south reacted or showed theri condolence or pressurised govt to take action against Pakistan, when our Tamil Nadu parties made such a hush and had a dhrna and Porattams along with film industry guys for Tamils in Sri lanka. When Some party leader and film fertanity openly supported LTTE which was the one who was involved in the assasination of our former Prime minister, no one from south came forward to show their condolence or grief or condem the act, which made our own country people suffer.Mumbai is a part of India ,when some one is not bothered of our country how can he be bothered of people out side. Its quite sad on the part of South politicians and people.
5.A country called USA changed the 500 old history and geography of TWO countries called AFGANISTAN and IRAQ for just threatning them. Our national leaders have been so nice to Pakistan and just been relesing prees releases and sitting quite when we have such a solid proof and info that Pakistan is involved in the whole thing. Its bad on the part of the current Govt.
This week:
I have been feeling so bad about these things and have stopped watching any news channels except DD.
This day:
This day i realesed that in a country like us were we have a history and culture dating back to centuries and a land which has given birth to so many non violent soles like Budha, Mahaveer and Gandhi, and has contributed so many warriors to thinking heads who have been the pioneers is what ever we name, still we are not matured ..............Its the common man who has to take actions starting from the vote he casts to what happenes at home with his family.
Just woke up to see all this.I don know what to feel, good or bad

it was quite sad, mad and pathetic

For the past three nights the only thing that is appearing in any news channel is mumbai siege.it took three nights to come to an end, as a common man i see that there is a major intelligence failure.Every news channel has been talking about how smart the terrorist were and how well trained they are , but as far as it is seen, they don seem to be smart, instead i see a flaw in the national security. How fragile is our security that the terrorist commuted the sea way.
For the past few years all the human rights gangs have been crying loud against ATS and other police teams for taking rigerous action when it comes to terrorism but this time ATS,police, army,NSG,Marine and what not ,every agency has lost lives in the operation, now no human rights group is crying against any of the terrost organisations or any thing.Does people have to die and give lives to prove their credibility.Atleast from now people should start trusting our agencies and cooperate with them, otherwise there is no point.Hats off to the agencies which acted so well and solved it.We lost some of the best police men like the ATS chief in this operation, we should be learning a hell lot from this whole three nights.
Unless people cooperate with police even they can do nothing.
This is the country were even the freedom movement had a non violence as their way to get freedom but today we are in a state of fear and hatred. It all starts from how parents grow their children, it starts from home.So much of hatred, violence and abuse every were instead of love.Starting from schools to colleges.Even when a teacher hits a kid to parents using beautyful absusive words in english at home can contribute to the growth of violence.
We should start acting and thinking interms of a long term agenda to solve such a crisis of violence.
so much is seen on news channel ,so much read on sites, blogs and papers i feel devestated and tired to talk or write about such a thing.
I really appriciate Mr.L.K.Advani and other party leaders, when they took the whole thing in the interest of nation and never made this politics till now ,when there is elections on the edge. For the first time i feel proud of the politicians in INDIA ,in the whole mess.

learning acrobatics to copeup with chennai rain

One good thing that happened out of rain is that i have learned the skills of high jump, long jump and swimming (especially in dirt water).
I have been living in chennai since 2001 and i have seen two governments ruling but nothing much has been done to tackle the issues during rain.Water logging in nungambakkam, kodambakkam, sterling road, the subways like duraiswami and many other places.Every year it rains and every year govt comes to help people by giving 3000 to 5000 ruppes after rain for those who got effected.
It looks as if no govt wants to solve the issue, they just want to show how helpful they are as saviours after rain by providing little amount of money and get good name after rain. Its quite sad.
You should either learn surfing or sit at home when it rains

It's been a long time

It's been a long time since i went home, it's been a long time since i saw a good heart felt film, it's been a long time i beared a masala movie.
The above came to an end last week when i left to my home town, sorry city, Tiruupur.I usually watch films in theatres only when im home in tiruppur. Its a great experience to watch films with the tiruppur crowd.
I saw three films when i was in tiruppur last week
1.Vaaranam Aayiram
2.Seval
3.Quantum Of Solace (Tamil dubbed version)
I don believe in comparing films, because u can never compare an Elephant with Einstein.

Vaaranam Aayiram is very much of a personal film for the director Mr.Gautham, It looks as if he has written what he really has felt, experienced, seen and wanted to be. Personally i felt great watching the film for lot of personal reasons.
But when comes to the commercial and technical angle, the film has really failed in lot of ways.
This usually happenes when the story and film is closer to the heart of a film maker, the same has happened in this case. There are a lot of leanthy scenes, so much could have been comoressed into those beautyful songs, but he placed separate scenes ........ i loved the songs , surya is done a excellent job, no actor will get such a chance to do such a beautiful transition....i really felt that the film should have been little bit shorter.

Seval is actually a good film, but if the same film would got released some twenty years back ,it would have been a very big hit, the director is stuck with time.a lot of violence , not just blood , all that shaving the woman's head and stuff is violent.Hari in the past two films have developed a attitude that "this stupid Tamil crowd will see what ever we make, and this is enough for this stupid crowd"
Its time for the tamil crowd to prove that we are not stupid, but patient.Im sure that if the same attitude is maintained then Hari will never get a chance to make another film in Tamil.

Quantam of solace ....ummmmmmm very very very very less of JAMES BOND 007 ,its not at all a 007 ....I WAS DISAPPOINTED.

reducing cycle time, cutting cost - basically saving time and money by killing vendors

The follwoing is a case study based on a company 'XXX' which has a work 'A' given to a Vendor 'V'

In the past few years the buzzzz word in any industry is 'cost cutting' how do they do it, it gave birth to an other word 'saving time'.
Most of the so called new generation Indain companies which provides services to companies in US or Europe and get paid in dollars and pounds found a new way to cut cost and save time ---- by sucking out blood and killing their vendor.

Mostly the following is what happenes with any so called new generation companies.

They have a work let's say A, is the work which cannot be done by a new generation company XXX.
Lets say the work A takes 10 days to finish if its done by the most effecient company in the world.
The company XXX where these so called energitic Managers start eating, talking, sleeping and fooling around the CEOs and CFOs and MDs and when there is only 12 days left they start searching for a company ( the norm is that they have to find atleast 3 vendors and get quote and give work to the lowest priced but most effecient vendor) they will end up finding a vendor V whos is as usual desperate to get work. The Manager gives a big talk using words like 'long term relationship, professional approach, quality and what not' The vendor gets convinced and takes the work for Rs.100 ( but in the market the same work is done for Rs.250)out of desperation.
The manager tells the vendor to make two more dummy quotations and give him so that the managers ass is saved. The vendor does it.
The whole process takes 5 days time and the vendor starts the work on the 6th day with a advance of 25 percent which is Rs.25.Now he has only 4 days to complete the work.
He has to complete the work in 2 days because the CEO of the company XXX has to see and approve it so that he can deliver the final product.
He completes the work in a hurry and spends Rs.200 for a Rs.100 work thinking that he will get more work from the same company once this is over.
The MANAGER first makes some changes ,then the Finance head makes some changes, then the tea boy ,then the guy who goes in the road, some beggers and in the end it goes to CEO,he tells that he din like the whole work.By now the 10th day is reached.
The manager tells V- the vendor that he has done a bad work, because the CEO din like it so he tells him that he can not pay him untill other changes are made. But Manager takes the what ever is done till now and delivers to US or Europe and gets paid $250.
The vendor runs up and down between his place and the company XXX for another 6 months with the same work.
After six months he gets tired and pissed off and starts shouting at the XXX manager(The XXX manager has been waiting for this moment), The manager says that V is not professional and has not finished the work in time and on top he is behaving like a Gunda and throws him out of the Vendor list and does not pay a single rupeee.

If the V-vendor is still patience and asks for money finishing all the changes , The Manager say 'there is a small miss communication boss, the project you were working on has been dropped by our client, so i can not pay you now ,you come back after a month'
The manager will never use the word 'i will not pay you' instead he uses the word 'i will pay later' so that he can keep on postponing till V gets tired and dies.

This is not Mis-Fucking-Communication
This is Mis-mother-Fucking-Management

These managers don undersatnd the meaning of reducing the cycle time.
If you have to reduce the cycle time of a process ,you have to plan as early as possible and keep it and when time comes implement it.But our Managers while away time then come on the last day and start palning and waste time and eat even the cycle time (they call that reducing cycle time) and give a little time for the process and fuck it up.

Theory of relativity

This teacher, she use to teach us physics in V.A.T, in class XI and XII.
She is a very funny teacher ,if i tell u a small incident ,then u might understand how funny she is.
In class XI we were introduced to this funny and famous theory called therory of relativity. She is some one who can never even understand Newton's first law, so think how she use to teach Theory of relativity. So the follwing thing happenes every day in class.
She will come to class and ask one of my class mates ,preferably Suresh (because she hates suresh like hell , we had no idea y ) to get up and start reading the chapter.Suresh will already be prepared and will start reading it.
once the first two pages are over,The physics teacher asks the class " Did everyone understand "
We all look each other with a blank face ( we use to get scared that ,if we say "yes", then she might ask questions) and say "NO"
Now her face goes bit red and will ask Senthil (the next in the 'i hate these students ' list) to read the same pages.
Senthil will already be ready and will get up and start reading those pages with difficulty.
Now she will ask him to sit and ask "Did u people understand" Our answer will be "NO" (Obvisouly ,since nothing was taught , it was just a reading, how the hell were we suppose to understand any shit) .
Now she gets pissed off very badly and her face turns reddish of the red and she says " These two people have explained u so well and i have been spending time to teach you guys, u guys don't concentarte in class and dream so much, why the hell should we teach such a arrogant class" .
Listening to the speech Suresh and Senthil feel good about their Skills of teaching their peer but are pissed with their classmates that ,they have insulted their skills by saying "No we did'nt understand, so they turn their faces away from us.
Now the physics teacher says "Ok, this is the last time i will try explaining u guys,Davoud(that's how she spells my name) get up and read those pages, slowly" (I USE TO BE THE THIRD BAKRA IN THE LIST,SOME TIMES FIRST).
I get up with a pride that, i can explain my friends and start reading the pages slowly ( till now those who have read ,have just been reading ,never expained a single line, note the point, and me too going to do the same thing)
When i finish reading i look around my freind's face , it looks as blank as a clean slate , i understand that its a bad day and sit quietly.
The physics teacher asks "Did u atleast understand now"( she makes her face so bad that even a ghost will go mad seeing the face).
The stundents say "Yes Miss" in chorus ( there is a BGM of victory ) a victorious smile is seen in the faces of readers and the teacher, but a pathetic smile on the faces of my friends, filled with fear.
The bell rings ,the period gets over.
The teacher says "Ok now you have understood the concept right, you go home and read and understand the rest of the chapter and ask the class leader if u have any doubts" ,she looks at the class leader and says "If u have any doubts, that u are not able to explain the others, ask me ".She again looks at the class and says "we are going have a test on this chapter tomoro ,so be prepared ".I WAS THE SADDEST CLASS LEADER

THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE

I have been really a big fan of X-Files ever since it was there on Star T.V as a serial when i was in school.I learned the meaning of the word Paranormal from Mulder and Scully.I was so happy to see X-Files on the big screen when the last film was released.Almost all the X-File fans expect something or the other related to Aliens and UFO stuff related thing in x-files,but this one really disappointed with a plot of 'Russians in their mission to creat a Fankastine Monster'.
I was sad that both ,Mulder and Scully looked really old(and also realising that how old am i).Since the first film had a big action sequence which had cool CG work in the last sequence ,i was expecting more in this one but i was seriously disappointed, but i got a chance to see them back again after a long time (i was happy with that ,the film ended).

"Wanted" ,assistant directors for a tamil film.

For the past few months, when ever i meet some new director, the one thing that they ask is "Do you know someone for assisting me in my new film ?" wooow there is really a big demand for assistant directors. But that's now what amazed me ,the thing that amazed me was the qualification that the assistant director should have.

1.He should know english very well (so that he can watch some hollywood films for reference)
2.he should defanetly know korean ( because there some good korean films coming these days, the thing is that they forget that there are subtitles in english in DVDs)
3.He should grow long hair ( i have no idea y )
4.He should be rich enough to work with out pay.
5.he should be lookig at the sky all the time and smoking ,so that he can feel very well (for god sake what the heck is this word "feeling") smoking ganja will be a added advantage.
6.Not necessar that he should know Tamil (hahha they are making Tamil films, film has no boundry when it comes to language)
7.he/she should know how to use softwares like DVD rippers and other mpeg rippers.

My question alway is "what is the story of the film ?"
their answer mostly is HAVE YOU SEEN THIS &^%^&&&(that represts som language) FILM ?*&^%$%^^(that represents the name of the film) ,SOME THING OF THAT SORT.
My answer mostly is NO, I HAVE'NT SEEN THAT(even if i had seen the film, this gives them a secured feeling that no one in India has seen that film)

Apart from the big market for assistant directors , there is a real good market for original content thats what i understood, because two or three guys i met had refered the same korean film for their new script accidently...good knows ....next year there is going to be another VEEGAM & NAYAGAN

Dhanam, a review

It's become a fashion to cast Sangeetha in a contreversial role ,that's the only advantage the movie has, apart from the story line.
The production value of the film looks as if the director had a attitue that "who ever takes up any role(other than sangeetha in the female lead),what ever we do, what ever bad art direction we have in the film, even if the dialouges are plasic, even if the comedy track is irritating...still the movie will run ,because we have a contreversial role for sngeetha, thats the USP of the film"

Two things other than the story line of the film which were good are,Girishkarnad's and Sangeetha's costume.
This film is a good example on how badly a movie can be made with a good story as a back bone.

My sincere answer ,solutions.

There are two suggestions for ecnomic rehab of tobacco growing farmers.

1.There are lot other things that can be done with tobacco plants, other than using it to make cigarates, ghutka and other tobacco related chewing products.
One good exaple is (visit this page )

OR

2.They can be taught on how to grow some other crop and get benifited better.
One good exaple is (visit this page )

Now in the above page, they had put that they are growing grapes for wine instead of tobacco, now u might ask me "is'nt wine bad ,even wine has alcohol" then my answer would the suggestion No.1 types, there are lot of other things that can be done with grapes like consuming it raw and drying it and using it, and grapes pay farmers good money.

On the above tobacco takes up the soil nutrient faster than other crops, so it needs not of fertilizer to be used and the soil goes dead after some times, so farmers actually spend hell lot of money on fertilizer, its bad both for soil and the pocket were they keep money.(u can google and find stuff if u have doubts)

On the above all ....in just one or two clicks and right words on google if a common man like me can suggest then think about the IAS officers ,agriculturalists , PHDs(our scientific community) and the other PHDs(economist) in THE GOVT .I think its easy for them to find a good solution ,only problem is that ,they are bit lazy because of their big bellies

few silly questions in my mind.....smoking banned

It's a amazing move to bann smoking in public places, hats off to health minister. It has really worked very well, atleast for now,i don know how far its going to sustain. The best example is ,today when i was travelling in a auto, for the first time in the whole of human and alien history a auto driver asked wheather he can smoke while driving to the passenger (the passenger was me :) ) i happily said "NO" and practised my rights happily and he din smoke.
But my silly questions are.
1.when government knows that smoking is harmful to earth and also to the environment (the global warming stuff) ,why is the govt allowing the companies to sell it.
when i ask this question i know that the first question will rise in the smokers mind is "they sell poison in the store do u buy it " wooooooow what an example.
a,have u ever seen a human poison bottle on which its written "human poison"( except films, even in films its just written poison)
b,poisions are made to kill roddents ,insects and stuff. There no such things as poisons to kill humans which are sold on stores except cigrates, alcohol, ghutkha and other tobacco related products.
c,second thing the smokers and the govt will ask is "revenue" ,how will the govt get revenue ,its going to be a loss.wooow again , the amount of money govt spends each year on public health related to the above products is more than the revenue they reveive out of it ,its basically a deficit or loss.
2.so why are these products being sold MR.HEALTH MINISTER.
PLEASE MAKE A NOTE ....
I KNOW THAT THESE QUESTIONS MUAST HAVE BEEN ASKED BY SO MANY PEOPLE SO MANY TIMES BUT ,AGAIN ONE OF MY SILLY QUESTIONS IS "WHAT HAVE YOU (GOVT) DONE ABOUT IT ?"
The answer would be most probably "this is the beginning,we sure come that point at one point of time"
3.my silly question is "when u know that the end and beginning are at the same point why do choose the beginning "

I know that after all these questions asked , its still going to look silly...let it be silly but we will still keep on asking...only these silly questions have atleast brought in "bann on smoking in public places"

You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008)

woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow, cooooooooooooooooooooooooooool film.
This is the one film which i would not say "must watch" but "should watch" if some one asks me about the film.
Adam has once again proved that he is the most funny man in the world.
The best thing i liked about the film is the funny action sequences which look real. It's a spoof film though it had sexy action sequence better than some sequences in serious action films.
The film has handeled the serious issue between Palestine and Israel in spoofy way...
real coool film......

The kind of films i would love to watch

I was boared so badly yesterday that i wanted watch some good funny comedy film, my friend suggested me to watch ARASANGAM (Captain Vijayakanth's) or NAYAGAN (J.K.RITHEESH's) ,but what i meant was a "comedy, comedy film" which can been seen twice ,thrice types( by the way i had seen both the films earlier and laughed out loud LOL )
I decided to watch some good old films ,so i went to a dvd lending library and saw the list .The following were the ones which i selected.
1.Pammal K Sambatham
2.vasul raja mbbs
3.singara velan
4.avvai shanmugi
5.michael madhana kama rajan (my favourite of all )
6.thillu mullu
7.sathi leelavathi
8.guru sishyan
9.kathala kathala

how wonderful , our top super actors like kamal bhai and rajini ji topped in the list in comedy..both are great actors with beautiful sense of humor....the was saved ......

Jayamkondan , a review

Umm this one film which i would like to call a proper "commercial format".
This is the kind of film which always gets a review from mags saying that "you can watch with ur family" types.
Hats off to the director.Cool, simple, very tangable and commercial plot.
The Madurai accent has worked very well with everyone, even with the female lead.
Kishore bhai is owsome , he has proved it again, the elegance and simplicity of the villan is real cool.
Real good and simple subplots.
Though the story comes closer to Agni Nakshatram , even some situations (like when the hero gets angry with her step sister and goes to meet her mother ,and finds her dead) .Still the old wine has worked very well...
good film , very entertaining and worth watching

wednesday, the review

Wednesday, one of the best thrillers in hindi.
A must watch film.
Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher rock.......
I would say ," bad show" by Arif (Jimmy Shergill), his expressions very well clearly show that he is very concious that there is a camera recoring it.
Though its a good film with no songs and good twist, enough unseen masal has been added to make it commercially viable.
One most important thing i wanted to say is that,This is the kind of script Director Shankar should have handeled.

cold calls and hot talks, how to tackle a cold call

I have no idea how these credit card companies find the right time when your in the middle of something which is very important in your life or something like that of a situation.
The follwing is a true story .

Till few months back:
I use to get cold calls from lot of credit card comapnies asking to get credit cards.
They call me when ever im in the middle of some meeting or your expecting some calls.Since its a unknown no sometimes i don pick up call if im busy ,then i call back and find that its a cold call for credit card.
You get pissed of badly for wasting a call &^%$$#@##@!
Then on top of that ,since u have called back they store ur no and call you again and again ,then u again get pissed off , you tell them politely that u don need a card (if its a girl) ,some times in a harsh manner ( if its a guy ), then u get pissed off again when they ask the reason for not taking thier card.
This use to happen once or twice in month atleast , sometimes 4 ,5 times.
I was really pissed off, but i had to find some way to convert this cold call situations to some useful stuff , Eurekaaa and Eurekaaaa forbesss ! i came out with a wonderfull, colourfull way of tacklikng this and also making use of it.

From the day i found the solution this is wat happens:

Cold call guy(cc) :sir we are calling from some bank and we would like to offer u a credit card.
Me:wow thats cool , thats really great , i would love to have the card.
cold call guy :Thank you sir , we would like to know some details to allot the type of card .
Me: sure go on
CC:sir do u have any other card
Me:I have a ration card and a visiting card.
CC:sir no , im asking about any credit card u have.
Me:Ohh sorry , i don have one right now, i had it earlier but since i din pay the back the money, they took it back, wil that be a problem.
CC:ohh no sir , i can any way get u .do u have a bank account.
Me:nope ,i used to have a account, since i don maintain a minimum balance for teh past 9 years ,they cancelled my account.
CC:sir what do u do sir, you profession, do u have a pan card and incometax returns filed.
Me: i catch Frogs from the gutter and sell it to the restaurants in alanthur , so im not a tax accesse, so tell me wen can i collect my credit card.
CC:sir , im really sorry sir , ur not eligeble for our card.sorry sir

And keeps the phone down before i say something.

I call back to the no and start talking to him and beg him to get me a card , some time they get pissed and cut the call.....they delete my no from their cold call database........:) they day is saved

Message Of The Film Is

Yesterday i was talking to someone about a film and asked him how is it.The answer was "There was no message in the film, other than that the film was good"
Then i tried exploring what this message these people are talking about, because i have heared this word a lot of times from lot of film goers "message"
The thing is people want the film to deliver some or the other message to the society blankly ,its something like the moral of the story is types.
But i wonder is our society gone so backward that you have to learn Morals only from films. Its correct if something bad is delivered and some one speaks against it (that by itself i don agree, because what is good for some one is bad for some or the others ).Only if u start expecting messages, the film makers will give their own messages in the film , which is called preaching ,which inturn is also bad (who decides which preaching is good or bad) so don push the film makers to preach thier philosophies.
If you have not learnt that stealing is wrong, drinking is bad for your health, killing is sin and illegal in these past so many years from your parents ,teachers and from the society think how bad is ur up bringing when u search for a message in a film so that you can learn from it.
Im sorry if it hurts some people, but its how it is.Its because of this reason were u always expect messages and forwarded messages from films ,our demi gods of this society have flourised from the film industry.
Each film is given a certificate by sensor board , but still there are no strict rules in theatres and even parents don mind taking kids to watch violent films, and they expect messages from films.
A film is a film thats all ,its nothing more or less than what it is.
I told the above guy, to give me his cell no so that i can send him all the useless forwarded messages that i get on my cell no.

Exhibition

Yesterday was suppose to be the last day of ice exhibition in chennai, it was in the island ground. Its basically a consumer exhibition for home needs, since im moving into a new house i thought i would visit and get some stuff on a lower price .The last time i ever went for some exhibition was some 10 years back thats what i could remember. From then a lot has changed ,i could remember the exhibition on island ground which we had visited during my class 5 vacation. Now its all hifi shops were you can even buy a lop top to hi def tv.In those days u could max find some toys which will stop working by the time you reach home.
Some of the things which ahve not changed are.
1.The Molaga bajji(the long green chilli bujji) and appalam shop. This one shop which had more customers who were really buying .I have no idea on the history about how this shops came into exhibitions, these shops have a long history.
2.The Simple-HiFi vegetable slicers shop.I still remember, when ever we use to go for some exhibition my every one would stop to see how these guys slice down vegetables in different shapes so easily ,peel off skin so simply and would buy also. But i have also seen that wen u come home and try u would always fail to achive what u had seen , its funny ,its something like majic.
3.The soap bubble water in bottles for kids to blow up bubbles, one development in this product is that , now u get bigger ,better ,stronger bubbles which stays for longer( they were using some synthetic tech for thenew generation bubbles).
4.Useless-stuff-shop, this a kind of shop which is always found in all exhibition were there will be a lot stuff lying and would be something like 4 stuff for 100 rupees(the price depends on the inflation ) .The stufss will look as if they are very useful(this is a mental cheat , this happens wen u find things on a cheaper price, cheap doesnt mean its cheaper than outside price but u some how feel its cheaper, or sometimes its like u want to buy something or the other since u have come) but on a second thought u will realise its useless , example the 23rd nail cutter that ur buying, the 45th screw driver set,56th key chain with ur name on it,99th useless plate which u will never use.
5.Buying behaviour - No one was buying anyting from shops otherthan from above mentioned shops.Siply checking out prices.

Some how i could luckily find the 89th nailcutter and bought it :)

Kuselan ,the worst version of Katha parayumbol

It was very disappointing.
It's a very good example of how a good script can possibly be handeled bad when its given in the hands of a medioker dir like P.Vasu.
It can never match Katha parayumbol(The Malayalam original)

Night life at rec trichy, party everday

Most of the times when u think of the best times in rec - trichy (NIT-Trichy) its the life we have in the night.I have no idea weather its the same now , or weather the other colleges in our time had a similar life. But rect night life was so cool.Iam talking about 97-2001.Most of the day time goes in by bunking and attending classes to manage the attendence so that you don get a fine or a yearback in the end of the sem.But all that it starts is the fun after 5pm.
July first week is wen the placement starts ,so from the day of placement you will have some or the other party going on in some or the other hostels every day.Its like got placed party, going to get placed party, kela milgaya written mein party, kela milgaya interview mein party. .Apart from this from freshie to farewell, senti to elections, girl freind patgayi to break up,hostel fights to criecket match, sem paper to cycle test..all i could remember is parties. So if u know the right people you can attend some or the other parties every day:).some times in thiruvarumbur, some times on the terrace some times in SAMFY(i don know weather it still exists ,or the name is changed,it was also called SAMFOX,REASON WAS THAT SOME YEARS AGO SOME SENIOR NOTICED THAT IT HAD A SAMANTHA FOX POSTER ,HE NAMED IT SAMFOX).I still remember wen we use to go to central busstand in the mid night at 2.30 to just to have a tea(a tedeious process of stopping the Tanjavur bus and travelling).43 times to gate ,7 times to bell nagar tea shop,3 times to thuvakudi malai and thuvax ,once to central that was the time table guys use to follow. One good thing is we never had any restriction on going in and out and i don remember any such incidents wen our guys misused it ever,it was all safe all night , thanks to those security annas ....that was freedom, wen in think of freedom today :)

My new obsession

NairSan , a japenese film

One of our business partners from Skykap Production,Mr.Arun Pillai has joined the project, assisting the Director Mr.Albert.
This international exposure will bring in a flavour of experience into our team. All the best Arun.
Personally, i have been looking forward for this film on three reasons,
1.There are few good films made on heroes, who fought for our nation's indipendence, this is one such film which will throw light on such a hero.
2.This film will open up unseen market avenues for historical-crossover film.
3.Myself a great fan of Lal Yetan and Jackie Ji :)
All the very best to Nairsan team........

Aamir - i just loved it, the film review

Film :Aamir
Language :Hindi
One of the best films i have seen the past 5 years, this is one film which real had the smell of Mumbai in its Cinematography after Black Friday and Salam Bombay. Both Salam bombay and Black friday are my favourite films on Mumbai life , the next comes Aamir. The cinematogarphy is handeled so well especially the outdoor shots were real cool ones, its may be because Alphose has a good Docu experience on handeling the unorganised crowd shots which are candid, which is most difficult. The scene were he organises the traffic to the shot were he runs in the main road high way is real cool hots, hats off to Alphonse Roy.
The next thing is the actors in the film , real sexy acting ,especially the lead role, when he breathes hard on the road , u really feel insufecient oxygen in ur lung,he has done extremely well .
The next is art direction has really flavoured the film which gave the smell of mumbai, real real cool and natural.
The next one is the whole plot point of the film , its really amazing when the whole story turns around. This treatment is one of the best inters of so called twist ,when u show a sequence which gives a story which is believeable at the same time very normal and commercial and then the whole thing turns to a different new setup is a good treatment.
I have a very bad habit of projecting the story and trying to find out what will happen next and try to find out weather what ever i think will happen next or not(it happens with all screenwriters while watching the film ,i suppose) even in this film i had luckily cracked the end , but was waiting to see how the director will handel the bobm blast shot , it was a really good the way he had shown the blast shot without blood and violence , hats off to direction and screenplay.
The most of all the issues that were discused in the film.In one single film the drector had discussed ,addressed and taken up so many issues in such a little time ,its socially a relevant film, when u come out of the theatre, still there so many things, questions and the story runs inside u.
Best part in the whole treatment of the film i liked was about the family of the lead role, what happeend to them.According to the visual the leadrole thinks what will happen to his family then comes a scene where his family is being killed by the villian , so did they really kill the family or not , because the hero has never seen the villan ,so it cant be imagination ,because they show the villan ,and he has not seen the villan. But the same time it was shown as if he thinks on what will happen to his family , and in the end its shown that the villan had set him up on the theft of the suitcase. So peopele can either take it as his family is dead or still believe that they are alive, this mentally makes u to carry the story and the issue home after leaving the theatre, that was real good way of handiling a film based on issues.
On the whole its one film i would love to watch one more time just to see the out door shots of mumbai.
On the whole its one of the best films of this year, please do watch it .

don u have freedom on your own cell phone

We are one generation which has lived both in the world were there were no cell phones and in a world were every one carries like a external organ in their body.
last week i was out of station and forgot to carry my cell phone charger as usual. My phone was switch off for 48 hours. When i switched on my mobile there were 22 sms and some missed calls delieverd as mesage fro vodafone.
All the sms was about.
why din u pick up my call
what happened
cant u pick my call
why have u switched off ur phone.
When i called back to the nos from where i had got missed calls , they were very angry...
People get offended when someone's phone is switched off or if he/she doent pick the call.
My question is that ,don i have right to switch off my phone or don i have a choice to pick the call which i want to.
Its my bloody phone and i have damn good right to choose on the action i want to proceed for.
Don get offened by this , but most of the calls are useless call centre, sales and hai hello and missed calls(that has to be called back)

religious people have caused more harm to this society than the atheist

In the past two weeks what ever has happened proves one thing very clearly that people who believe in GOD can cause more damage to human beings and this society than atheist who don believe in God.
In the whole of human history i have never heared that any atheist who killed people in the name of atheism or pressurised people to follow his way.But each page of the world history bears the blood of people who were killed by the so called GOD believers. They claim to be the believers of GOD ,and claim on the top that GOD created this world and claim on the top most that they do this killing for GOD.how funny ,stupid, idiotic and asaholic explanation is this , don you feel stupid to give such a shit answer. How the hell can u kill some one who is created by ur own god, so either it means that God is so stupid to create these people who u claim are bad and killed , or god is super stupid to create some one like u who kills the people who were created by God,whome u pray.
So are u stupid or u claim that God is stupid.....both ways its a paradox.

Either ways what ever arguments these people have ,killing any human can never be forgiven, its the extreme act of sadism.Who the fuck gives u the right on a human life.Every one in this world has a right to live and who the hell are u to judge the lives of innocent people ,is'nt it a cowrdly act to take the lives of innocent soft targets. This not only proves that these people are not just stupids by contridicting their own words, but also bollsless impotents.

its a disgrace to pressurise or plead or even to beg some one to convert from one religion to an other

We all would have heared stories of people getting converted to get married to some one from an other religion. When ever we hear such stories we fell good and think that, how much that person would have loved her/him that he gave up his religion and got converted, but have we ever thought of such thing as how much she/he who got converted would have suffered to do this.
1.Do people really come forwared to get converted volunteerly ? i don think so.
Most of the time its out of pressure they do it.Mostly women are the victims, women get converted to guys religion ,because in this scoiety they are the weakest and would said fall victim if the guys parenst don agree.
If the guy loves her so much will he ask her to get convert is a big question i always have in my mind.
2.One fine day ,Is it possible to pray a different god,go into a new religious practise ,forget what u leart all these days and read out new rules from some new book.
3.what kind of suffering will the persons family goes through.
4.No religion in this whole world permits or supports a pressurised convertion,if it supports then it can not be a religion which is for the betterment of human kind.
5.forget about love for each other ,do people respect eachothers right as a citizen of this country , do they respect our constitutional law, were u have right to practise the religion u want.
6.do people really love each other.

Something,somehow,somewere,someone

Something ,somehow and somewerehe are the three most possible dirty words in the dictonary of art.
Example :

Editor : "sir what ever footage u have given is not enogh and the shots u have taken will not suit this scene, its difficult to bring out the kind of emotion u want"
Director: Put something somewere and bring out the emotion somehow
Editor :Sir How sir.
Director:The guy is talking something here right,u cut shot somehow it suits and put something in the middle and get the thing done some how.

The above is a very normal discussion that goes on.

I have found similar situations not just in the world of art but everywere from softwar to steel industry.

In normal life we see people talking

Manager : "were are you ,how many clients have you met today,ok listen i will give you this list which i was suppose to give you last month, since tomoro is the dead line we have to meet all these clients today itself, some of the clients are in Parrys ,some in perambur, some in adayar some in tamabaram ,but listen tamabaram guys we cannot meet now because i already told him that u will meet him in the evening"
Sales Rep:Sir im in tambaram now and it will take me minimum 20 mins to reach there to the next client ,even if i come in slim traffic. And i think i can meet the tambaram guy now.
Manager : why don u guys realise the pressure yarr.Do some thing , i don want listen anything.somehow meet these people ,wait i have kept the list somewere i will search it and tell u the names.....
NOTHER PHONE RINGS
Cut the call , i will call u back some one is calling.
Sales guy : Abusing the managers whole family from his great great great grand father to the next 456999 generations to come in his mind and says " OK Sir"

For the next 4 hours the sales rep wont receive a call from the manager and will be waiting for him to call, and when he calls the manager either the no will be busy or he will tell that he will call back in 3 seconds.

After 5 hours
Manager : what happened , did you meet someone.
Sales rep: sir u said u will call up and give me the list
Manager:dont u know to call me, how irresponsible u guys are, u have no idea about the pressure im getting from the top management.
Sales guy ; but i called u sir
Manager : now don give me reasons of ur incapabilities
ANOTHER PHONE RINGS
OK someone is calling , i will call u in some time and cuts the phone.

This goes on till the afternoon, then comes the lunch and comes the evening tea and comes the real working time of after 7.

Manager: were are u , did u meet someone.
Sales rep:sir the list.

Managere somehow searches and picks up the list and tells the names.

Sales rep : sir this is last months list , i already have it sir, we have met everyone.
Manager: u should have told me already that u hav ethis list , how irresponsible u are ,u have no idea what kind of pressure im under.

By now the time would have been 9.

Manager :i work till 9 in the night and bare all the pressure and u guys cooly roame around the city and have fun.
Sales rep again starts the list from the BC generation of the managers family and ends it in 4009 and abuses.

This happenes every day in all our lifes and still we are all happy somewere ,somehow doing something with someone

real sad stuff,so called media

Film making though has been there forr a long time even before software industry was started , still its not been accepted as a respectable profession among the some people.
The main reason being that its exposed to media so much , the whole media world plus the audiance live on it.If some thing looks like moving the media says that its crawling, the news paper will say that its swimming, the websites will say that flying and the tv will say that its flying without wings,Thats what happenes usually.
When a common man or his personal issues get exposed to media , they say that there is no ethics and media has no bloody rights to talk about it ,but when some one from the film industry get exposed , they call it entertainment.Even their personl life is consider to be a entertainment and people make money out of it and the people who desperately watch this have fun out it.Its real sad.
When some one makes a movie about a real incident , every one raises voice on different platform on different grounds of religion, personal life and region ,but when papers and tvs come out with supid news on the personal life of a actor or a actress media calls it as its right ,how sad.
Now this has come into the lifes common man like the Arushi's case to the women who wanted to abort her kid .The whole world has seen their faces and when they walk on the road tomoro every one will talk about them and this breach into the personal lives of people is real sad.

splitvilla on mtv - a review, it sucks big time, mtv splitsville - a review ,it sucks

SPLITVILLA ,the most stupiduous, yukkkkk tv shows i have ever seeen.

There is this reality show called SPLITVILLA thats going on on MTV.
concept of the program: there there these two most idiotic sad asaholic guys in the world who are to be impressed by a bunch of so called modern women who have been insulting them selves .

The concept of the program is that there are couple of gals who try to impress two idiotic guys and fall in love.

Review: bluntly it sucks big time.
This program is a big insult to women....iTS the most disgusting and the insulting program on tv to insult women.
I have no idea how this has caught up so much of viewership and have no idea how the so called social protectors or the government bodies or any of the parents of the women who participate in the program allow such things to happen.

Hancock , i loved it , a review

I cannot technically call this a review because it will be totally biased on , the reason being
1.Im a big fan of will smith
2.Im a big and blind fan of super hero movies.
There are certain things i liked about the film.
Usually when i use to watch the films when i was a kid i alwasy use to wonder that when in films ,when a hero goes to save some one ,especially when there is a chase sequence on road , he would be destroying a lot things on the way but in the end he saves the herioen and gets parised by people.
But this is one of the very few films which has addressed this issue of the sabotage these heroes cause to show their powers.
The film had a amazing special effect , especially when ever Will picks up and trows things , that was cool.
In general its not a great film or a great story but it was cool to watch .
Storywise i liked one thing about the film was ,that there were no big villians or some villans with equal power, but most of the people din like ,because its away from usual, instead they had placed the female lead role to take care of that equality factor.
The story patternwise it was not a right commercial, they should have placed some hero eyal to him , but i liked the whole pattern ,may be its because im a fan :)

it was fun watching our parlimentry session...but feel like a shit underneth

i don know weather to feel proud, good, happy, bad, sad or ashamed to say that the parlimentry session on 22/7/08 was fun to watch. This is the first time in all my life i turned on the loksabha channel and sat and watched the whole session yesterday.
What to say .
1.The session was worst than a U.K.G Class room for children who have irresponsible parents ,who have never taught them how to behave in life.
2.It was better than a india vs pak test match.
3.It was exciting than Guy Ritchie film , so much of twist and turns , the un edited version of the parlimentry session by itself was so exciting.so many turning points ,though u know that the hero is going to win in the end you still be pulled to the edge of the seat , u fell like whats going to happen next ,who is going to do what.
4.The most interesting part of the session was when Lal0000 ji spoke and every one was laughing like sit com laugh track.
5. The other interesting part was when the bjp people pulled out the money bundles from the bag.
It was all fun and exciting to watch .......

But underneth u feel like shit that these are the people who rule the country, and we have choosen them.......

mukkonam, a offer :) as a writer

Hi guys ,
This is the first time im posting a offer for writers in English.
Coming to the point as usual.
I have decided on the first script which im going to work on, its done already.
Name of the film : Mukkonam (working title)
genere(g/jonere): "Ithu oru vityasamana kathai" ( its a very different story), coming to the point its a very simple uncomplicated ,understood basically by everyone types about normal humban beings.Only difference it will make is the kind of narrative, the characters, the background and style.
the offere now : i wanted some one to write this story as a novel ,this novel will be released along with the film.so if any of the bloggers or any one who has a good taste for writing can get in touch with me on my mail id dawoodsait@gmail.com the title and the rights as a writer and other things will be as legal as a the normal novel rights and stuff.
im planing to make this feature first in tamil then in hindi and if its a mega mega super duper and bluper hit we will make this in english toooooo
the reason being ,if we don make it ourself then some one else will take the right of inspiratin and make it in the respective languages with no no legal rights .

please do get in touch if any one interested .
my first preference is my friend Mr.Sidin :) but i have not yet spoken to mr.sidin on this .if he agrees then it will be great :)

recent experience in the tamil FILM industry

u can never call a trend good ,bad or ugly.A trend is a trend.in the recent past, may be for the past three four years the films which have become hit in tamil have a very base line : a bunch of low life guys ,with no job ,sitting on the wall types may be ( in tamil a specific word called THELLAVARI PASANGA") who are absued by parents, teachers and the parent-teacher association, get into trouble but they come up with something and the whole world praises.
Its not new its a basic three act hollywood narrative , but the point is the Thellavari characters have really come up in the market .And most of the films which have such characters who abuse their parents sort or basically use abusive language have really got good support from the audiance ........
so the point is that .... this is the in thing in the industry

why government and government aided engineering colleges

i have seen guys rushing to get the course they wanted or prefered not seeing the college.
govt or govt engineering colleges are any time better than the private institutions with just names on the top listings.
im not denyig the fact that there are instsitutions which are good.
but the ratngs which come are mostly unbeliveble.
the reason being some colleges don participate in ratings so they are completly ignored from the list . so the best way to get the rating is to from the students who are already doing their course in colleges .
any time govt and govt aided colleges are better , the reason being .
1. the facilities in terms of labs, research and resourse
2. the qualified faculties and the experience.
3. the low fee structure
4. the financial aids like scholarships .
5. placements , the preference by the companies on theses colleges over the others.

engieering results and the results after the results

i still remember the fuzz that happened after 1996-97 engineering results were announced , that was the first batch to have single window system for engineering admissions in tamilnadu . hundreds of petitions against the move and some cases asking for re val becase they had a question out of sylabus in maths and the first time when india today came out with a rating on the top engineering colleges in india.

the same thig repeats this year and the year last year.no entrace for the first time, the reason said that the rual kids will not get access to entrance coaching.
before that govt had introduced rural cota in the year 97 to help the rural kids to get access.

the point is that ,its good on the part of govt to help out rural kids but by abolishing entrance they are just questioning the inteligence of the rural students.
as far as i know equal no of rural students have entered into my bact of engineering eevne wen they had entrance.
entrance exams are a good way of sorting out proper intelligent ,the sylabus we have in +2 is nothing , the books are sad.the few hundred pages of physics, chemistry and maths ( so called pcm) can be mugged by any one in a gen period of 3 months.
and even a math problem with additional integral or diff is applied parents rush into to file a petition.
so to estimate the right intellgent entance is the right way.

inflation and global warming ,greenhouse gases, price rise and andhra

every time period has a inn thing to write about, to talk about and to blame it on to.
like earlier ramjanma bhoomi, global market,2000 the millenium bug ,reservation .ect ect..blaaa blaaa blaaa
right now the in thing to blame it on is inflation and global warming.

mom: " why did u get poor marks and got 3rd rank in class"
kid: "mom inflation "

by the way nowadays when i meet any parents with kids they say"my son/daughter is the first rank in class" i have no i idea who are those kids who take the 2nd and 3rd and 45th ranks of the class.

wife : " ajiii what happened ,u have not got any incriment this year from ur company"
husband : " global warmning, oil price, povery in andhra, the neibhour kid got 1st rank and ummmmm....... inflation"

so everything is interlinked and connected some or the other way.

last week my freind had a break up and told me the reason was global warming and inflation.
he was correct one or the other way ... i examined the situation.
it will be very funny if i tell u how its connected to global warming and inflation .... i don want you to laugh out loud lol and increase the global warming ( nigerian scientist have found out that by laughing a human can produce .23 cubic meters of methane which is sole rebonsible stuff to increase global temp and the main ingrideient of green house gases , that inturn will increae global warming and stuff)
so just sit and think how ur getting effected by global waring ot inflation ...if u have some interestig incidents on how u got effected by the both please do post
